About CSA Rochester

The Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester Charter School will replicate our successful schools, Syracuse and Utica Academies of Science and Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse. Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School (SASCS) has more than 1400 students on its waiting list.

The key design elements of the proposed school are:

1. College Prep
2. Focus on STEM and environmental education
3. Home visits
4. Student-centered school structure (tutoring and after-school activities, extended school day and year, small school environment)
5. Glocal education (teaching to think globally and act locally through character-building education, mentorship program, community
6. service, international trips, and activities, and various citizenship programs)Performance-based accountability.

The Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester Charter School will open in September 2022 with grades K- 2. We will add a grade every subsequent year until it becomes grade K-12, according to the table below.
