CSAR 2nd Graders Explore Cosmos at RMSC

Wednesday, February 26th, 2025: Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester 2nd-grade students took an exciting field trip to the Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC)! Atoms explored the museum and participated in a guided tour of the "Different Cultures, Same Sky" exhibit.

This immersive experience introduced students to the sky-watching traditions of the Diné and Maya peoples, as well as other Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. They discovered how these cultures have used the night sky and stars for navigation, storytelling, and traditions for generations.

Field trips like these help bring science, history, and culture to life, inspiring our young learners to explore the world—and universe—around them!
